Trekking
has been one of my favourite activities. I developed a liking for this
when I was in college. Our college is situated in the district of Dakshina
Kannada, in Karnataka, India. This district is full of breathtaking sceneries,
and is covered upto approximately 80% by forests. The photograph here shows
the mist-filled valleys around the Kumara Parvatha, near Subrahmanya, in
the Western Ghats. This is one of the tallest peaks in that section of
the Ghats.
Myself, and a few of my friends revived the Adventure club in our college and used to arrange treks to such exquisite places. Again, unfortunately, I do not have the soft-copies of the photographs I had taken, to put them here. This one, I have borrowed from a friend's website! I love being in nature, and observing it. Your ears wake up to the slience and peace around you. I am very saddened by the rate at which man today is, in every possible way, spoiling nature.
